Ever wish you could fight like a ninja? While there are several different ninja techniques (gotonpo, kajusu, kenjutsu, ninjutsu, etc.), fighting is a prominant skill in Ninjago. While face-to-face instruction is always best, you could learn a little from some of these instructional videos.
How to do Real Spinjitzu:
Wouldn't it be nice to do real Spinjitzu? This is the closest thing. While the ridiculously powerful fiction martial art move doesn't exist, there is such a thing as a "tornado kick" in Taekwondo.
Kicks (Geri)
Mae-Geri
This karate front kick is powerful, even to the point of knocking an opponent to the ground.
Yoko-Geri
A karate side-kick that's devastating on contact; however, it's easier to see coming.
Mawashi-Geri
This roundhouse kick is often used to start a fight.
Ushiro-Geri
A spinning back kick, and one of the most powerful kicks in martial arts.
Butterfly Kick
This advance Kung Fu kick is amazing because the fighter actually launches himself through the air
Punches (Zuki)
Oi-Zuki
A karate lunge jab, the most basic.
Gyaki-Zuki
A powerful reverse punch using most of the body.
Kage-Zuki
This fast hook punch is hard to block.
Uraken-Zuki
Even faster than a kage-zuki, this back fist strike attacks with the two largest knuckles.
And there you have it: a short list of some martial arts moves you can learn to develop. While it may not seem very fancy or amazing, remember that basics are meant for battle. Learn the basics well enough, and you'll hold your own. Go over your head and learn something crazy that can hardly be used, and you'll be a joke in an actual fight.
